Product Description: Sculpted By Jason "Spyda" Adams
The popular BATMAN: BLACK & WHITE line of artist-inspired statues continues! Fans have been anxiously awaiting this design by Neal Adams, one of the most famous Batman artists of all time! This statue, which is a near-replica of the cover of BATMAN ILLUSTRATED BY NEAL ADAMS VOL. 1 (and the pose that first appeared in "The Joker's Five-Way Revenge"), is sculpted by Adams' son, first-time DC Direct contributor Jason "Spyda" Adams! It is certain to be another sought-after addition to DC Direct's line of BATMAN: BLACK & WHITE statues.
The statue measures approximately 6.75" tall x 8" wide x 6.5" deep and is painted in monochromatic tones. It features a logo-shaped base and is packaged in a black-and-white box.

Hiya,
This is just a darn cool piece of art. Its the only aspect of the DC Direct Balck & White Batman series that actually shows the Bat in motion, leaping forward out of the iconic artwork of Neal Adams. I have it high on a bookshelf and love it.

I received this statue as a gift and I have to say it rocks! I don't know what the other reviewer is talking about not being a Neal Adams Batman. I'm familiar with Neal Adams artwork and I think this is a very good rendition of it. The pose is great, the cape flowing out is very well done. I hope the sculptor gets to do more Neal Adams work!!

I love this! It's awesome. My favorite thing is how he balanced it somehow just using the cape. Most other artists would have had to use a stand of some kind. Anyway it's super. I own it. It's on my shelf. It's rad.

Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R3F8Y61U2SUDCB I'm really a fan ofthis whole line (except Paul Pope's... ew...) but this is easily the best of the series. No other piece captures the Bat in motion better than this piece. Please watch to see what I mean. I managed to get enough light to really show the detail.

This contribution to the Batman Black & White series has been requested by fans more than almost any other. When we found it was going to be the most iconic pose Adams had ever done of the hero (it was even used on the cover of one of the "Illustrated Batman" volumes by Adams), it seemed a sure winner. Unfortunately, the wait was not worth it.
Yes, you can tell from a certain angle that this pose was shooting for Neal's cover, but this looks like a generic Batman character. It's odd ... Read More
