I have had a difficult time getting my 4 1/2 year old son to transition from 100% vehicle toys to also playing with action figures. Since he loves Scoob and his buddies, this seemed like a good idea and he does love to play with it. Of course, there's nothing educational about it. As far as durability - my boy is very hard on his toys but he hasn't managed to break this one yet. The front doors pop off right away, but they snap right back on. My daughter has absolutely loved this set of toys. I have found the toys to be good quality and very durable. There are no tiny parts. The figures survive easily in the dirt or in the tub. Overall a very good product.
