Product Description:
Charlie, the owner of a successful Daddy Day Care business, and his partner Phil (Rae II) are presented with a dilemma when their seven-year-old sons, Ben and Max, want to spend the summer at Camp Canola – a camp run by Charlie’s boyhood rival, Lance. Rather than send Ben and Max to Lance’s camp, Charlie and Phil impulsively buy the neglected, neighboring Camp Driftwood and attempt to run it themselves. However, the challenge proves to be much more difficult than expected. Finally, after numerous disasters, Charlie reluctantly enlists the help of his military-trained father, Buck. With Buck’s help, Charlie and Phil teach the kids the outdoor skills needed at camp and train for the inter-camp Olympiad against Camp Canola.

Amazon.com:
Hilarity reins when Daddy Day Care owners Charlie (Cuba Gooding Jr.) and Phil (Paul Rae) expand their business to include running a summer camp. Determined to provide their sons with a positive camp experience, Charlie and Phil visit their childhood Camp Driftwood only to find it dilapidated and on the brink of closure. Nursing an old rivalry with the neighboring Camp Canola and its director Lance (Lochlyn Munro), a former camp competitor from childhood, Charlie and Phil impulsively become partners in Camp Driftwood and find themselves with a month to create a thriving camp or risk foreclosure by the bank. The first few days are complete mayhem with exploding outhouses, poison ivy outbreaks, and bee stings galore and, against his own better judgment, a desperate Charlie calls in his father Colonel Buck Hinton (Richard Gant) of the Marines to help run the camp. While the two have very different visions of how to run a camp, the rivalry with Camp Canola unites them and slapstick humor reigns as the two camps engage in warfare that culminates in an Olympiad challenge that will reveal the shortcomings and dishonesty of Camp Canola's staff and students while showing Charlie the true value of family and teaching the entire Driftwood population some important lessons about honesty, believing in oneself, and the power of doing one's best. Bonus features include a "How I Spent My Summer: Making Daddy Day Camp" featurette with cast interviews as well as an interactive quiz about the featurette. Cuba Gooding Jr. replaces Eddie Murphy and Paul Rae replaces Jeff Garlin under the direction of Fred Savage in this sequel to Daddy Day Care, but Daddy Day Camp stands on its own as fun family entertainment for ages 3 and older. --Tami Horiuchi

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Daddy day Camp
This was not as good as Daddy Day Care and they changed the lead actor which always makes it not as good. It has a few funny moments..but it could have been better.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Stupid doesnt make funny
Its true, its not intended to be an oscar winning movie, but that doesnt mean that its supposed to abuse the same joke (spoiler: theres a kid who easily gets sick and throws up) up to three times when its not even funny once. The movie does have some entertaining parts but when it comes to the comparisson to Daddy Day Care it really leaves much to be desired.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Disappointed
I was very disappointed that this was not the sequel to Daddy Day Care with the same cast. I thought the "rival" camp's director was a jerk, big over-grown, spoiled kid who couldn't let the past go. Cuba Gooding was a little too simple for me. My grandson didn't like it as much as Daddy Day Care.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - This is one of those movies....*SPOILERS*
that you know is going to be silly, but you figure..."Why not?"

It was a rainy afternoon, the kids-five boys, 14, 12, 9, 4 and 6 months-were bored and antsy, so I popped some popcorn and put this in. It wasn't Oscar winning material, and a part of me is sad to see Cuba Gooding, Jr continuously in this goofball roles, but it wasn't bad either. Daddy Daycare had Eddie Murphy's comic timing and at the time it was a more original idea. This is recycled material, and Gooding doesn't always ... Read More
