Lily discovers that the family "ranch" Charlie told her about is actually a weathered, worn-out farm house located 60 miles away from the nearest big city. This movie was a wonderful love story but also gave you a good feel for what it was like during the war and the hardships they faced. How they tried to live a normal life in difficult times and raise families. I purchased the movie to send on to my mother who lived during that period and would enjoy reliving the part about fashions, dances and the love of good friends that got them thru that period. It brought back that youthful time for her and she loved it!!

There are many great things about this movie - the historical insights, the wonderful cast, the well-written story, etc. But a word to those who, like me, wish to avoid films with nudity...unfortunately, there is indeed a bathtub scene with female nudity.
