The likable Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Desperate Housewives) stars as a man whose near-death experience following the murder of his wife and son grants him the ability to see a halo around those whose death is imminent. Naturally, he sets about to prevent these untimely demises, but discovers that tampering with predestination attracts the attention of sinister forces. Professionally lensed and heavy with visual effects (as well as one impressive set piece involving a falling grand piano), White Noise 2 is buoyed by Fillion and Katee Sackhoff (Battlestar Galactica, The Bionic Woman) as the cheery nurse who helps him deal with his grief; unfortunately, they're stuck with a dreary and overly complicated script that attempts to assimilate far too many horror movie clichés into one picture. Nathan Fillion and Katee Sackhoff, thats neat ! It was a fast paced cool movie with the top reps from Firefly and Battlestar doing something different.

This movie is a somewhat confused, mish-mash of ideas that plays like a cross between The Sixth Sense and Final Destination. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense and the plot unravels badly towards the unconvincing ending, but the effects are pretty good and the story works reasonably well for the first hour or so. This is a perfectly watchable movie, despite the aforementioned shortcomings, and the effects are impressive most of the time and do cause a few jolts. Overall, not bad but not especially ... great, side by side no diferance than blue ray hd player and home theater sound 1080p and dts at half the price!get the same 1080p and dts sound playing standard side the new players bring up the same as blue ray!

Well acted, but very situation contrived. That took away from the whole concept for me. The plot involves the grand concept of that when people are to die, they should die when they are supposed to. And if you try to change the course of things, there will be a price. So being that said, you know everyone is going to die. Every scene is predictably manipulated for the obvious out come. No surprises.

In white noise 2 a seemingly happy family ,man,wife & child,suddenly experience a tragic turn at the hands of a deranged man..While at a diner having lunch the wife and child suffer from some sudden convulsive malady..Just as suddenly a stranger walks up to them and shoots them both..Instead of also killing the husband the stranger apologises and turns the gun on himself..So begins the direct-to-video "sequel"to "white noise"
