My son was very disappointed in this light saber - it's not spring open at the push of a switch like the others, and the color barely shows at all - it would have to be pitch dark to glow green or red, otherwise it's just a cheap clear light saber. It makes noise, but only if you push a button on the side which is not easy to find when using it as a light saber - the big push button merely opens the sith spikes which are no big deal and seem pretty cheaply made.
