Book Description: "
the last man in the world whom I could ever be prevailed on to marry."
With those devastating words, Fitzwilliam Darcy's proposal to Elizabeth Bennet is thoroughly rejected and his character wholly condemned. These Three Remain traces Darcy's painful journey of self-discovery in his quest to become the man he always hoped be would be. A chance meeting with Elizabeth at his Derbyshire estate offers Darcy a new opportunity, but the activities of his nemesis, George Wickham, interfere once more in a way that may ruin everyone's hopes for happiness.

Ms. Aidan has done a wonderful job on the last of the trilogies. I really enjoyed reading about Darcy's side of the story. Matter of fact, I am reading it a second time. I believe that Ms Aidan stuck to the original story and developed some great characters in between. Matter of fact, I read all 3 books in 1 1/2 weeks. I only wish that she would write her version of a sequel to Pride and Prejudice. I believe that she would stay true to the characters in her sequel. This is a great read!

In this the last of the trilogy we find Fitzwilliam proposing and the anguish that accompanys it. How he fell as low as he could and how try as he might he could not climb back if not for a very good friend. I have read this so many times now I can not count. The scenes were powerful to me and I cried and ached for Darcy's pain and loss. Like wise I felt his joy and life as he made himself into a better man, a gentleman that Elizabeth would approve of. His peace and love at the end upon the ... Read More

The third book is by far the best of the trilogy AND of all the sequels out there. The author does an excellent job maintaining the propriety of the Austin world while still letting us know that the marriage is passionate. Some of the other sequels read too much like a romance for me. Although the second book in the trilogy is disappointing, this one is quite satisfying.

This is a great book but you need to get all three or you'll be left in suspense!, part 1 : an assembly, part2: duty & desire, part 3: these three remain.

I loved this novel, very well written. Its very interesting to read Darcys point of view and feelings about Elizabeth and how their relashionship evolves, I have read pride and prejudice many times and theres always the need to know more about these two people we love and admire so much.
