My 8 year old thoroughly enjoyed the process of putting this together. It was a great learning experience on how to follow detailed instructions and the cause and effect of not doing so. The down side is that the little pieces don't stay together well and it can be very frustrating to pretend play with it. My grandson was diagnosed with H1N1 flu recently and I knew he was going to be stuck inside for a week or more. I instantly got on line at Amazon and started looking for things to keep him busy. He loves Star Wars and Legos so it seemed this would be a perfect match. It was!!! The next time I was able to see my grandson, I got a huge hug and he was absolutely THRILLED with the Lego Star Wars Anakin's Fighter. Would highly recommend this product for any kids (or adults) that love legos and star wars.

My 6 year old son (and his little sister) are avid Star Wars fans, and they like the Lego version better than the original. This was one of his birthday presents. He loves it as is, and needed only a moderate amount of help assembling it. But being a Lego toy, assembly was not the end. As soon as he grew tired of it in its "normal" configuration, he invented numerous ways to change it. It is now part of half a dozen other Star Wars-inspired creations and continues to provide daily entertainment.

I bought this for my 8 year old brother for his birthday! He loved it! It was challenging enough to keep him busy for a few hours, but not too hard to take the fun out.
