just as advertised...simple to use...works perfectly with my older Zenith tv...really easy to set up...a blessing!

If you have even the most bare-bones entertainment setup, you probable have quite a collection of remotes. They all have their uses but, for the times when you just want to turn on the TV and nothing else, it's nice to have a model like the Sony. Simple, small, easy to use and comfortable even for arthritic hands. Nice big buttons so you can see what to press even in low light.

This remote works well and the price is low. Buttons are easy to work with but make sure you can deal with only basic commands like off/on,volume, and channel selection. The device does not have a last channel nor can you go to the menu of your TV set. This may be a concern to you. Overall its a good item.

Advertised to work with any brand of TV but would NOT work with my Samsung TXM1491F regardless of which method : 1. using the brand codes or 2. using the search method. Buyer beware.

Having tried different brands of univeral remote controls, this one's the best. It is simple to operate and, as opposed to the others, it works!
