THIS IS SUCH AN EXCITING DOCUMENTARY! IT HAS A GOOD BALANCE BETWEEN OTIS' PERFORMANCES AND COMMENTARIES FROM THOSE THAT WERE CLOSE TO HIM IN HIS LIFE AND CAREER. THE FOOTAGE OF THE GREAT ONE'S PERFORMANCES BROUGHT BACK MEMORIES FROM OVER 40 YEARS AGO & WHY I FELL IN LOVE WITH OTIS AS A YOUNGSTER. THE FILM WAS NOT TOO SHORT BUT IT WAS SO GOOD THAT IT LEFT ME HUNGERING FOR MORE OF OTIS. HOW SAD THAT HE WAS CUT OFF FROM US WHEN HE WAS: I GUESS GOD WANTED HIM FOR HIS HEAVENLY CHOIR.

i liked the disc, learned a little about Otis the man as well as Otis the musician, the footage was good quality as was the sound.

The new Otis Redding video is very cool. I bought this initially because as a big Otis fan, I typically would buy anything by him. That is why I must have 3 different copies of Otis at the Monterrey Festival. However, this video contains new video clips of Otis that were very cool and that I had never seen before. Dick Clark interviewing Otis Redding on Bandstand was a first for me. The insight that Steve Cropper gives about Otis and the process of songwriting together was also very informative. ... Read More
