I have to wonder if Irwin Allen ever knew how many unintentional laughs this show would get. This show takes itself so seriously! Did the actors know how much contempt Irwin had for it's intended audience? Week after week viewers get to see the giant lobster, manfish, eel etc., etc. Did Allen think that an adult would view this with anything other than serious drama?

I enjoyed seeing Voyage To The Bottom Of The Sea on television growing up in the same way I enjoyed other science-fiction series. I thought the flying sub was an exhilarating way to travel. In this volume, I liked "The Deadly Cloud" story, which had the interesting concept of presenting aliens as existing in an ambiguous environment; I also liked the story flow of "Death From The Past," although aging effects could not suddenly happen in a moment if a person had been able to defy aging for decades.

a great tv show some extra features on it but it is still 2 sided discs wish bring them out single sided and as complete seasons instead of two volumes waiting for the last season to come out soon...
