Editorial Review:
Product Description: Dexter is a Showtime original television series starring Michael C. Hall as serial killer Dexter Morgan, who works as a forensics analyst specializing in bloodstain pattern analysis for the Miami-Dade Police Department. The series is based on the novel, Darkly Dreaming Dexter by Jeff Lindsay. The film won TV Program of the Year at AFI in 2006 as well as four IGN awards and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Performance by an Actor.
Featuring the theme song by Rolfe Kent, distinct, original score by Daniel Licht and a diverse collection of songs from the first season of this hit television program. The soundtrack translates the show s Cuban and Latin feel, taking place in Miami. The show s most poignant songs were selected to complete this irreplaceable soundtrack.

The Blood theme haunts me and i love it for that. It remindes me of things like the 2nd track, where Dexter talks about tonight beig the night and just how the world works. I also love the main theme and find it playing in my mind, and one good episode makes me want to hear more. That is why i took this little baby home and why I put it directly on the downloader and fed it to my brain. Here I am now, Season 4 speaking tongues as I try to crack its cypher, and I love it. I want to put it in my mind ... Read More

The soundtrack from TV series Dexter is a fantastic mix of upbeat Latin and dark orchestral pieces- I think others' reviews speak better than I can with this one. I just want to add that one of my favorite tracks from this album is 'New Legs', taken from an episode in season 2; it is particularly intriguing in that it's simultaneously inviting and sinister much like Dexter himself.

Daniel Licht deserves some sort of award for the "original score" selections on this CD. My vote goes for "best music CD of the last 20 years." I am only talking about the "original scores," not the jazzy latin songs on the first part which are OK if you like that stuff.
It is one of the best music CD's I have ever bought. No joke. There is something very special about the original scores. Hard to put a finger on it, but suffice it to say that there is something very satisfying about ... Read More

I absolutely love the haunting melody that plays over the end credits of the show, but sadly the version included on this CD is obscured with a rap song. Why can't they just give us the beautiful melody without the stupid rap??

I absolutely LOVE this CD. Anything to do with the Dexter program is a plus for me. It reminds me of the first season when I got sucked into the intrigue of the series. Great haunting spooky music, background music from episodes, Miami sounds, MC Hall speaking in his great voice - what more can you ask for. It is great and helps me get through the off season when Dexter is not on Showtime!!
