Product Description: Retired United States Navy pilot Jay Cochran (Kevin Costner) is looking forward to spending his days relaxing at his cabin in the countryside. First however he plans to visit his rich and powerful friend Tibey (Anthony Quinn) on his Mexican estate. Tibey s violent temper and shady business dealings make him a dangerous man. His young trophy wife the doe-eyed and melancholy Miryea (Madeleine Stowe) yearns for motherhood and finds her marriage to this older man who does not want any more children unfulfilling. Despite his friendship with Tibey Cochran finds himself drawn to Miryea and they begin an illicit affair risking Tibey s wrath each time they meet. Eventually their luck runs out and the two are forced to face the consequences of their actions as a cycle of revenge begins. Neither Cochran nor Miryea realize how vicious Tibey can be until it is too late. Filmed on location in Mexico and California director Tony Scott s (THE HUNGER CRIMSON TIDE) fifth film opens with a flying sequence in homage to TOP GUN his top grossing 1986 film.Tibey (Anthony Quinn) a powerful Mexican businessman is expecting a visit from his American friend Jay Cochran (Kevin Costner) a recently retired Navy fighter pilot. Little does Tibey know that his young trophy wife Miryea (Madeleine Stowe) will fall for his dashing friend finding the passion with him that is missing from her marriage. Amazon.com:
This often grisly, arguably racist movie stars Kevin Costner as a U.S. Navy pilot who is the improbable friend of a powerful, vaguely criminal Mexican millionaire (Anthony Quinn). While visiting the latter on his estate, Costner's character has an affair with his host's gorgeous young wife (Madeline Stowe), for which he is almost beaten to death and the wife mutilated and turned into a junkie prostitute (nice, eh?). The hero seeks retaliation, and you may want the same against director Tony Scott, who makes the navy sequences look like beefcake excerpts from his earlier hit film, Top Gun. However, if you can stand the garishness, then perhaps the extreme violence won't be too bothersome, either. But expect a rough time either way. --Tom Keogh

Kevin Costner has had at least one great movie, Dances with Wolves, some real stinkers, and some in between. Nevertheless I like him as an actor. Revenge has some very good parts and some mediocre parts but all-in-all this is a decent movie.

Lets see here, Kevin Costner goes to go visit his good friend, who he knows is a major drug lord, can't keep it in his pants, and boffs said drug lord's wife. Actually, The revenge should have rightly been Anthony Quinn's... if I was a rich and all powerful drug baron and one of my gringo friends bopped my wife, I'd be looking for some payback too, especially if it was someone as smirky and annoying as Kevin Costner... heck I'd get revenge just for Waterworld and The Postman.

This is soooooooo much better than the more conservative
original release!! This is a must have for any Kevin Costner
fan!! It has extended scenes and director's commentaries that
are not on the original release!!

One of the three worst movies I have ever seen. Three strikes:
1. Preposterous plot
2. Poor pacing and direction
3. Kevin Costner (actually he is three strikes all by himself)
Example: Costner calls his Navy buddy and tells him the Mexican Mafia guy's hottie wife is putting the moves on him. Asks his buddy's advice. The buddy (obviously smarter than the lead character) says, "Get out of there while you still have your skin!" Costner says, "Nah, I guess ... Read More
