Editorial Review:
Product Description: Three all-new Pokmon are yours to choose from - Fire-type Chimchar, Water-type Piplup, and Grass-type Turtwig. You won't be able to catch these Pokmon in the wild. To catch every Pokmon, you'll have to trade with other Trainers to get the two Pokmon you didn't select.Once you connect with friends over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, you'll be able to use the Nintendo DS microphone to speak to them directly! You may also use the voice chat during trades and battles if the host of the session enables that option. When Pokmon Gold and Silver introduced a real-time clock, Pokmon fans absolutely loved it. It seemed destined to become a staple of Pokmon games, but when Ruby and Sapphire came around, the feature disappeared. Pokmon Diamond and Pokmon Pearl reintroduce this system in a major way. There are still some Pokmon that look the same in both genders, some that can only be male or female, and some (particularly the Legendaries) that don't have a gender at all.
Amazon.com: Pokemon Pearl is a traditional Pokemon RPG that takes place in a region called Sinnoh.
In the Sinnoh region, there are two Pokemon that symbolize the region. They appear in the Sinnoh reigon's myths and old folklore. One is called Dialga, and is said to have the power to control time. The other is called Palkia, who is said to have the ability to distort space. The sinister organization called Team Galaxy is trying to rule the region by utilizing these two Pokemon's power. During your adventure to complete your Pokedex and become the Champion, these two Pokemon, and Team Galaxy, will intertwine into the story and lead you on a fantastic journey across the Sinnoh region.
When you set off on your travels, you'll be able to play as either a boy or girl Trainer. You will also utilize the DS's dual slots to transfer Pokemon from the GBA Pokemon games and be able to link up with Pokemon Ranger to access more special content. Pokemon fans have caught glimpses of Mime Jr., Lucario, Munchlax and Weavile in Pokemon movies, and these Pokemon will be debuting in this adventure.

As a fan of the Pokemon game series, and of the DS Lite, I am glad to say that I gave Pearl five out of five stars. The gmaeplay includes features from older games, but updates on FR/LG like a new look (and much easier controls!) for the battle system, a much better user interface, excellent use of the doublescreen, loads of "applications" include a clock, pokemon mood tracker, step counter, etc., and battle-sprite animations. Not only is the look nicer, but there are plenty of new pokemon- most ... Read More

This is a cool game. Training pokemon is my favorite part. I enjoyed the new pokemon like garchomp or arceus, but the rest of the game is boring. I still like pearl version and it would be worth to buy it.

I love pokemon. Great game. Alot of fun and very addicting. I just wish they would make a game like this for the bigger systems. One that you can actually go and catch pokemon like on the TV show. Until they get smart enough to do that, I will continue to have fun with what they have out.

I like this game because of all of the special additions to it. it has time (night+day) certain pokemon appear at certain times and you get to go more places than the previous games.the only bad part is that the Elite Four are almost impossible!

This game is really fun, even if you know next to nothing about Pokemon! I started the game only knowing about a few Pokemon. Now, I have memorized all 493! In conclusion, this game is one of the best I have ever played!
