Am watching the series for the first time. I got to see an occasional episode when I was a kid but bedtimes and homework and studying usually ran interference...
This is the first season where CBS must have come to conclusion that "sex sells" because in the first 5 episodes I have seen so far Thomas Magnum has caught the girl and then spent the night with her. Previous to this there was the suggestion that he spent the night with her, now it is confirmed.

The sixth season of Magnum is the first time in the series that a season is worse than the one that preceded it. There are some great shows, to be sure, but watched as a whole (which is the whole point of having a DVD of a season), the writers appeared to be running out of material, or made a concerted effort to emphasize light and comedic storytelling. Without a doubt this series keeps getting better with newer, fresher episodes. Granted I saw them first run when they came out in the 80's but to relive them again is awesome.

BIG FAN OF THE SHOW. NOT A BIG FAN OF THE DVD'S FOR CUSTOMER WATCHING. ONLY THE 1ST SEASON AND LAST WE'RE GOOD QUALITY. THE TWEEN SEASONS CRAPPY QUALITY. HAD TO RETURN SEASON 2-7 BECAUSE OF UNWATCHABLE DISKS.
