This was a Christmas present for my grandson. His mother said it was too hard for her to open, so she had her daughter open it for her brother. He's 5 and she's 12.

My 9 year old received this as a Christmas gift. It was hard to find one that wasn't the "second edition" from the fight scene of the movie. (I usually find what I'm looking for on Amazon!) He was so excited when he opened the gift but only played with it a couple of times. He's almost afraid to play with it much because upon first look you can tell that it is made out of a very cheap plasitc, as are most of the toys now'days. I was surprised to find that this, like other Transformers that were gifts for Christmas, seem to fall apart very easily. They can be put back together (i.e. they don't break) but it is frustrating finding the parts all over the house. This one, Jazz, seems the most durable of he others we have. We keep reminding our son to "not force" the Transformer to a changed position, and I overheard him giving the same advice to a friend while playing with it. I just bought this toy yesterday, and it's great.
I've been watning to get Jazz for a really long time, but thanks to the in-store TF toy drought, it made really hard to find.
but eventually I got REALLY lucky and found the Jazz G1 repaint at Target.
