Editorial Review:
Product Description: Garfield's Nightmare is a 2.5D side-scroller that features platforming gameplay with gorgeous graphics. See your favorite fat feline, Garfield; trapped in lasagna, pizza and donut induced nightmares. A severe case of over-indulgence before bed leads to a dream so bad he can't wake up without piecing together his smashed alarm clock to free him from his fretful slumber. The goal for each level is to travel from one side of the game world to the other. In-between this, you'll need to collect various items and kill bad guys that generally pose little threat to your progression. Enemies and crazy challenges litter your path so think fast and play smart to save the day and night for Garfield. Help Garfield maintain his energy level by collecting lots of tasty food throughout the game including donuts, and of course, lasagna

This is a really fun game! It's a side scrolling game that use's no stylus (except in some of the mini games). I bought this game because it was said to be like the Mario games and there was no stylus involved except in certain area's and well it's true. When I first started playing, I thought the game was a bit too easy but as you progress, like any game, it gets harder. It actually started to get really tough when I started level 3.2. The only downfall of this game that I don't like is, that you ... Read More

This is a terrific game! The graphics are fantastic.....Garfield looks exactly as he does in the comics and the scenery is cute too (the stained glass windows in the castle have pooky on them :) ) The game play does not involve the stylus.....it is just jumping and kicking and pushing objects, like a Mario game. There are clues along the way to help you through each level to the checkpoints. I haven't found this to be a challenging (to the the point of frustration) game.....although I HAVE died a ... Loved this game! I like simple action-adventure, "Mario-like" games and puzzles. There is nothing new in this game, but it was fun to play. Graphics are good. Music is not annoying. Levels get progressively more challenging. Plus, it's Garfield! Who doesn't love Garfield?
I also played "Garfield's Fun Fest" and found Nightmare to be much more entertaining. If you are trying to decide between the two, go with Nightmare.

I have bought almost 30 games, since last Christmas. Most of our games...we get bored with after a while, turn around to sell them used on Ebay. However, this game is a keeper. My 5 year old and myself, cannot get enough of this game. It's so adorable and the 3-D is awesome. The graphics are so creative and neat to look at. As a non-gamer mom, I was able to pass all levels of this game (after some practice), however my child, who is 5, has a hard time getting past some of the games in the advance levels ... Read More

This is an old school type of game that keeps my kids attention even if it is 2D. It reminded me of the ones I used to play growing up but with many more levels and challenges. Garfield runs and jumps his way through the spooky landscape, eating along the way. There are 4 different worlds to roam through and find the 4 pieces of alarm clock that will wake Garfield up from this nightmare world. It is easy enough to figure out and doesn't grow old quick.
