It crashes way to much to get into. My pc is fairly new and its specs are well past what the game needs. I posted about it on the game site and was told to get used to it and save alot. No thanks on this game.

The X universe has been around for a while, since X Beyond the Fronteir, like 1998 or so. The game is big, and sectors are massive. The ships can be flown in real time and first person, something arcades guys just dont get. But if realism is good to you or you wish you were born about 1500 years from now, this game will knock your socks off, and the new X3 coming out in a few months will just make it better.
It uses an advanced flight mechanic that shows that kinetic energy is worked around ... Read More

I have to say. I hear a lot of about how buggy the game is. I installed and updated it just fine and the game ran great on my computer. Guess I got lucky
Now when I got into it I realized this game will take some time to get into. I did a lot of reading on the forums and spent a good amount of time figuring the dynamics of the game just to realized I've just barely begun. First of all going along in the story, the dialog was a joke. It reminded me of a really bad movie. I had to turn ... Read More

I started playing this kind of game with Elite on the C64. That game was always the one to measure the others by. Unfortunately I've never had as much fun as I once did with that old game. Sure, everything aspect of gameplay has moved on but it never quite worked well enough for me to get into the game like I once did. The X series has certainly been the leader and this latest version, the 2.0, is far and away the best space combat/training game ever made. It allows you to play it like a Wing ... Read More

This makes up for what the original freelancer lacked. More cargo hold space, and building of stations and buying of fleets of ships. This game I bought a big lots for nothing. But it is mind boggling with all the stuff in this game. Buy your own factories, make your own automated trade routs. Buy upgrades new ship and make lots of money. In other words very good game.
