My son recommended I bought this DVD package. At the price, it was a small risk to take, as I confess I never watched NYPD Blue when it was on TV.
The first couple of episodes got me interested. Three more and I was hooked. I especially like Caruso as Det. John Kelly, but this is a series with only the highest class drama. This DVD set brings back so many memories. Every episode is engaging and very entertaining. It is well worth the money.

Although it starts off kind of slow and hard to follow, by the third or fourth episode, I was hooked. Probably Caruso's best TV, including the CSI he's on now. Character development is excellent, decent amounts of action without lots of gore, and the writing is superb. Well worth picking up to fill in the gaps of nothing to watch on network tv.

I own Season I and I am extremely pleased with it! I really hated when this series ended! I thought that I would never follow another series again! The characters seem so real/nothing phony about them! Also the way that the show is filmed is really superb! You really get the sense of being in New York and involved in the good, bad and ugly of the city! Dennis Franz is the show!
