I was not as impressed as I thought, but I am more of a FPS type gamer. I did like the graphics, but the action was a bit slow and the engines blew up too much. Graphics do show damages to vehicle as you play, but the tickets you have to buy to drive in certain events seem silly. Get this game if you are a true racing game fan, but I would recommend MX vs ATX more.

I first played Motorstorm as a demo in Wal-Mart and knew right away that I wanted this game, but i didn't have a Playstation3 at the time. So, once I got a PS3, Motorstorm was at the top of my list. For those of you who like arcadey off-road racers, than Motorstorm is right up your alley. Its a visually appealing. This game is beautiful and easy to control. The graphics, effects, and crashes are all incredible. The variety of vehicles, and especially, the way the different vehicles force you to tackle the tracks in a new way each time is really clever. The small cars and bikes can't hold their own on the low track because the realistic mud and giant trucks, so you have to stick to the high road to master the race. Graphics are good, tracks are very large which makes for a fun game in general - but the vehicles are way too sensitive. Seems like every little mistake causes a flip or explosion requiring a do-over. Gets annoying fairly quickly.

With the addition of vibration and three levels of motion control sensitivity with an update, Motorstorm is a lot more accessible and fun to play. Before downloading the update, I would constantly oversteer and snake around the coarse. I have changed the sensitivity to Low and now it is much easier to control the car, although it does feel a little floaty.
