Crime fighting is important business, but sometimes there's just not enough manpower to investigate every little case. That's where the Rescue Rangers come into play--they specialize in solving the cases that regular detectives don't have time for. The five-part pilot episode "Rescue Rangers to the Rescue" finds human Detective Drake and his canine partner Plato on the brink of retirement and locked away after being framed for stealing a valuable ruby. It seems everyone before me has listed all the specifics of the DVD. I just wanted to say how much fun it was to sit back and enjoy some quality animation and my two favorite characters, namely Chip n' Dale. Man I love the work from the Disney studios. It's always worth the money due to the quality and fun. It never gets old.

The first 2 Volumes of Chip 'n' Dale Rescue Rangers were very fun to watch! I wish Volume 3 would released on DVD this November, or sometime in 2009. I hope Disney gets back to releasing Chip 'n' Dale, and other Disney afternoon shows on DVD. Please release Volume 3 for the holidays of 2008! This is all I ask.

This isn't a review of the actual disks--the others have said all that needs be said about it--but rather, a correction to the oft-repeated myth that the five-part "To the Rescue" storyline was a "pilot episode." IT WAS NOT.
Chip n' Dale's Rescue Rangers began life on the Disney Channel, lasting one thirteen-episode season there. The season became a huge hit, prompting Disney to create an additional 52 episodes, bringing the count up to the 65 episodes required for syndication.
