Editorial Review:
Description: After failing his examinations, Sendo Kazuki spends his days aimlessly until his childhood friends, Taishi, drags Kazuki into the world of fan comics. But this harmless diversion soon becomes an obsession as Kazuki is drawn further into otaku culture. In the dog-eat-dog world of fan comics, you need more than talent to reach your dreams!
Amazon.com: Comic Party Revolution (2005) continues the misadventures of the would-be manga artists from the 2001 broadcast series Comic Party. Somehow, all the high school comic fans have gotten into college, but it would be a mistake to say they've grown up. Taishi still dreams of ruling the world through doujinshi (fan comics), Eimi brags about her supposed accomplishments, Aya hasn't developed any confidence, and Mizuki has become less patient and more aggressive. Aspiring artist Kazuki remains the sanest member of the cast, although that's not saying much. The show has shifted from a spoof of doujinshi subculture to an unfocused harem comedy--the girls aren't all in love with Kazuki, although he remains at the center of the story. Fans of Comic Party will glad to see the familiar characters again, but they'll miss the inside jokes that made the original so much fun. (Rated TV 14, suitable for ages 12 and older: cartoon violence) --Charles Solomon

In fact, the whole aspect of struggling doujinshi creators has taken a back seat to comedy and slapstick fights between the characters. For instance, the always competing Eimi and Yu decide to have a baseball game showdown or the gang tries to turn shy and passive Aya into ... Read More

I'm a big fan of the Comic Party series, but I must say I was disappointed with the fact that the first four episodes of Comic Party Revolutions since they were edited from the original OVAs. The first 4 episodes have an average of 8-9 minutes cut off of the originals. If your not aware, the first 4 episodes of this series were OVAs, and because of their popularity, a second season was completed. I had the opportunity to see them quite a while ago because the first one appeared in 2002. The form ... Read More

Fans of manga will here rejoin Kazuki and Mizuki who are college students now: Kazuki is an amateur comic artist with an attention to girls even as Taishi plans world domination. A host of sexy manga girls and zany action ensues in a series of fast-paced encounters.
