As I thought this was more of a survey of what I thought of the DVD. All I can say is that it was better then what I expected. I knew it was going to be good but it was the best. Besides the hits of Ricky's it was good to hear of his life growing up.
I loved the DVD and know if Ricky was still with us he would still be the best

By the time the Beatles burst forth in '64, I was embarrassed to admit that Ricky Nelson had been my childhood hero, but the truth of it all came rushing back as I watched those old B&W performances on this excellent DVD. Everything around him in those Ozzie & Harriet episodes looks impossibly corny now, but his stillness and sincerity impress, and that sweet/sad voice remains achingly pure. Really fun. Gives a good history of Ricky and his family, a good history of his singing career, a look back at the Ozzie and Harriet Show, and lots of input from other singers, friends, family, etc.

This is an excellent DVD if you are a Ricky Nelson fan. He sings many of his well-known songs, and most are the complete song. His children and friends portray an honest picture of his character. I highly recommend this DVD, which has an excellent sound for the age of the recordings.

I truly enjoyed watching this program on a cable channel, therefore, I wanted to own this show. I would have liked to see a little more history on the Nelson family.
