I too will agree with the previous reviewers and say that the color scheme is not terribly accurate, and that some shapes and proportions are off ( This was also true of the Corgi NCC-1701 ). But I will add that if you look at the large filming model as it was repainted for the feature film "Star Trek - Generations", with a darker overall color scheme and more weathering, then this model's paint job becomes just a BIT more acceptable.
Tis a shame, however that only a few parts on this ... Read More

As mentioned before this is a very good attempt to model this famous Galaxy Class Starship. However, there are four inaccuracies in the model. 1. The main impulse engine is not painted red. 2. The saucer impulse engine is painted red, when it should be black (never in the TNG series was these engines on, when the ship was connected, only later Galaxy Class ships on the DS9 series had these engines been red). 3. The name, "Enterprise" is not labeled on the sides of the foreword torpedoes tubes. Finally, ... Read More

Ok, first up I will tell you is the con(s) always, lets start.
First con, the color is, well reversed or what it needs to be, instead of greyish aztic patterns you get white, and instead of a whitish hull you get dark grey, its not totally die cast (which I already thought so at purchase, total die cast items would be more like $90 and up) the die cast is limited to its secondery hull, and its proportion is off, but the ONLY Enterprise D that I have seen that had right proportion was the PlayMates ... The problem here lies within the construction of this item. Corgi used to make high Quality vehicles in the past, but now, everything of Corgi is made in China - therefore the quality suffers. When I received this replica starship, I was quite impressed, at first. I thought the detail was quite good. However, that quickly changed when I actually removed the item from the box and held it. It was 90% plastic, not die cast metal at all. In fact, there is only one small section of this entire item that is diecast. ... Read More

First, this is not worth $50 at all.
The toy does not look like the picture--it is painted a light gray with very dark gray squares (aztec-ing) all over it. There is too much contrast between the two colors, making it look like a mottled mess.
The picture shows the ship as it should actually be--light blue with a SLIGHTLY darker shade of aztec-ing.
Other than the paint scheme, the model is made of heavy plastic, and is quite nicely detailed. It's a shame they picked the ... Read More
