We have a lot of Melissa & Doug puzzles, but my son loves this one the best. The quality is good, and the colors are very stimulating for a young curious mind. Highly recommended for any toddler over 16 months.

I'm very pleased with this puzzle. I think it's great that each piece has the corresponding number of little critters surrounding it...a really good way to reinforce counting. The pieces do get beat up after a while, especially if dropped on a hard floor or banged together, but they are wood and not plastic, so it's to be expected.

My son loves this puzzle. The pieces are chunky and he loves to put them where they belong on the board. He also enjoys stacking them like blocks and is beginning to say the numbers. Highly recommend.

this puzzle was originally meant as a birthday gift. however when it unexpectedly arrived yesterday, i had to give it to him, "NUMBERS!" "NEW PUZZLE!" he ran around barely able to hold it--it is big and a bit heavy for a 23 month old. the colors are amazing. the block letters are the perfect size and stand on their own. you can stack them. line them up. combine them to make larger numbers. my only gripe is the "6" and "9" are exactly the same but at last it doesn't bother him like the sound ...
