Editorial Review:
Product Description: ANGER MANAGEMENT directed by Peter Segal looks into the life of Dave Buznik (Adam Sandler) an executive assistant at a pet clothing company. The mild-mannered but overly passive Dave is in love with his girlfriend Linda (Marisa Tomei) yet his anxious personality keeps him from taking things further both in their relationship and in his career. However Dave's life takes a strange turn when he is wrongly accused of "air rage" on a flight and sentenced to mandatory anger management classes. Eccentric anger guru Buddy Rydell (Jack Nicholson) becomes Dave's therapist but when Buddy abruptly moves in with Dave the doctor-patient relationship takes an unusual turn.An appropriate pairing of actors with oversized personalities ANGER MANAGEMENT allows Nicholson to run amuck while letting Sandler hone the mellower side of his cinematic presence. As Sandler's Dave becomes more bewildered at his predicament Nicholson's Buddy teeters wildly between wise and rambunctious. Meanwhile Tomei (who apparently gets more attractive as she gets older) shines in her role as Dave's beloved. Of course no mainstream Sandler movie would be complete without a number of familiar faces in supporting and cameo roles and ANGER has them by the boatload. John Turturro steals every scene he's in; Luiz Guzman sports some remarkably unfortunate facial hair; Heather Graham shows up as a brownie-hurling blonde bombshell; and John C. Reilly appears as a bully-turned-Buddhist-monk. And to top it all off there are cameos by renowned "angry" sports figures Bobby Knight and John McEnroe as well as the esteemed former mayor of NYC Rudy Giuliani.System Requirements:Running Time 105 Mins.Format: UMD Genre: COMEDY Rating: PG-13 UPC: 043396142596 Manufacturer No: 14259
Amazon.com: The irresistible pairing of Jack Nicholson and Adam Sandler is the best reason to see Anger Management, a comedy that might loosely be called The Funny and the Furious. Nicholson and especially Sandler have screen personas that partially rely on pent-up anxieties, so there's definite potential in teaming them as a mild-mannered designer of pet clothing for chubby cats (Sandler) who's been ordered to undergo anger-management therapy with a zany counselor (Nicholson) prone to occasional tantrums and devious manipulation. Surely this meandering comedy looked better on the page; director Peter Segal scores a few lucky scenes (particularly Sandler's encounter with a Buddhist monk, played by John C. Reilly), but a flood of cameos (Heather Graham, Woody Harrelson, Rudolph Giuliani, and others) can't match the number of laughs that fall flat. As Sandler's understanding girlfriend, Marisa Tomei plays a pivotal role in a happy ending that leaves everyone smiling, with the possible exception of the audience. --Jeff Shannon

I'd be tempted to slam "Anger Management" as another slice of lighthearted, sanitized mental-illness swill from Hollywood (it does play out like "28 Days" meets "The Dream Team"), if it wasn't for Jack Nicholson's manic performance--he hasn't been this funny since "The Shining." Adam Sandler does well, and exhibits some control as a guy with problems containing his rage (I'll admit...I've never seen any of his other movies). But poor Marisa Tomei...the girl who once won an Oscar has become one-dimensional ... Read More

Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson star in this movie about a person named Dave (Sandler) who has to take Anger Management classes for "abusing" a woman on a plane. From then on everything goes from bad to worse for Dave. I overall enjoyed watching this movie. It has a lot of funny parts to it. It definately gets its PG-13 rating from some of the language in it, though. But overall, its a great movie.

I have to say Anger Management was the best Adam Sandler film I'd seen since Big Daddy back in 2003. Sandler and Jack Nicholson have great chemistry in this funny comedy. The trailer pretty much gives you the plot but unlike some comedys the trailer doesn't spoil all the jokes. The cameos and in jokes put tears in my eyes in this film. The film is taking a beating from some folks and from critics but just go and see this film with a open mind and enjoy it.

This movie is pretty funny. If you like other Adam Sandler movies (Waterboy, Happy Gilmore, etc.) then you will like this one as well.
