My grand-daughter loves Barney- both the videos and the toy she can hug- after all- she is best friends like friends should be. And to tell the truth, Barney is kinda growing on me too... (did I really just say that out loud???)

When I realized how much my son loved Barney, I decided to get the plush toy for him. I was very happy to find something for him that didn't talk, flash, sing, or count. I don't find electronic toys "educational" - in fact I find them somewhat obnoxious and a hindrance to creativity and imagination. He loves it.

For anyone calling this an "educational" toy... WHat are you thinking??? This is a doll. Something for your child to hold and cuddle. My son loves Barney and loves his doll. It's the best thing I ever purchased. This doll does not speak, teach or have button or zippers or snapps. It's a doll. Why are people getting upset about this? Get over it and grow up !!! It's not supposed to make you happy, it's for your child.

This toy was great for my 3 year old son. He loves to play with it every day, and likes to suck on Barney's toes. Despite the previous 3 reviews, I think this toy is a great addition to any child's toy collection, because they can relate to the show, which my son loves, by the way.
