My Little Dr. Who fan loves his sonic screwdriver. However is sad to discover it will not shut up his big brother. It's so hard to find Dr Who toys in the US, he was delighted. It's had several days of hard use, zapping pretend daleks, annoying the dog etc, and so far it has remained in one piece and in good operating condition.

Love this toy, but wish it had sound effects. It works well as a flashlight and is the perfect thing for a Dr. Who fan.

I was very disappointed with this item. My son had it not 24 hours
when it fell apart and couldn't be put back together. It is not made
well at all and is not durable enough. My son is over 13 and did not play
with it roughly or leave it on constantly. It was a waste of money and
very overpriced for the product you receive.

...it had the sound! This Sonic Screwdriver torch is quite a bit smaller than the Sonic Screwdriver with sound, so it fits in the hand a little better. But it doesn't extend and it doesn't have the sound. However, the torch part of it is great. The beam is pretty powerful and I have to say that my cats love chasing it (the beam) around the floor. If you're a die-hard fan of the series, buy it. If you're just a casual fan, go for the model with sound - it's a lot more fun!
