This game is funny with lots of over the top stereotypes. I recommend this game, but slow load times and frame rate issues do take away from, what I imagine, the original developers intended experience.

Few games are as easy or fun to pick up and play as Metal Slug. And with six varieties on a single disc, this will easily become one of the most played titles in your collection.

I'm a huge fan of the metal slug series and hadn't until getting this been able to play both 5 and 6. The first thing I noticed is the INCREDIBLY long load times - we're talking at least 60 seconds from XMB to menu screen here. Once in the menu screen, expect another 40+ second load to get into character select for each game. Performance is adequate and playable, but there are lots of framerate drops making the experience much less enjoyable than it should be. Overall, a bunch of great games ruined by terrible ... The game was really fun. The loading part is annoying, but I guess thats what you get for a direct port. Plays just like the arcade game (slowness when too many enemies on the screen, etc).
