What excitement had I to be able to pilot the ships of Star Trek, and to pick between the Enterprise X-1, the Enterprise NCC-1701, the Enterprise NCC-1701A, the Enterprise NCC-1701D, the Reliant, the Constitution, etcetera.
And indeed I was having fun, with the familiar sounds of people telling me things on board, and piloting the ship in to lock phasers on a target and attack.
But that's about where the fun ends.

...but instead, it became a disappointment.
To start off, Legacy was clearly a disappointment even to Trek fans like me. The system requirements are all wrong, and many users have reported that even though it was listed (in the minimum system requirements) to have Windows XP, their game still would not run. I have to say that the sysem requirements are incorrect and even though it worked fine on my Vista computer, the game still lagged and the targeting system is all buggy. One minute you ... Read More

I know there is not much point in writing a review of this game at this point, since you will be hard pressed to find a copy of it, but this is truly a pathetic excuse for a PC game. Bethesda should be ashamed to put their name on such a product. The controls are completely broken. The manual, what little of it there is, refers to xbox controls, and the in-game tutorial refers to buttons that do not correspond to their stated function. I was barely even able to finish the first mission, and would certainly ... Read More

Much better alternatives from Armanda I & II to watching any star trek tv series episode or movie.

Oh boy, Legacy is a very pretty game with excillent ship modles, and interesting sand-box invironments. The controls are complicated, where they are not confusing, and some of the missions seem incredably difficult as a result. With the voices of five captains, I guess I got my expectations got too high. The potential factor is what hurts this game (everything it could have been is working against it)but all in all still a must have for "hard core trekkies"! (if there is such a thing)One suggestion I would have ... Read More
