For years, I've read and heard of how awesome the "Crest of the Stars" and "Banner of the Stars" series are and while I take a break from my "watch every Gundam series" marathon, I decided to purchase "Crest of the Stars" and "Banner of the Stars" and find out for myself why people enjoy this series.

Crest of the Stars aka Seikai no Monshou is without a doubt a series that is meant for the most patient and discipline viewers. This series is very slow developing. Up to this day, I may have seen three series that come close to this pace. But give it a chance it does a very good job with telling a very good story.

Crest of the Stars starts out very promising, with a mysteries empire know as the United Mankind Empire Abh launching a surprise invasion of our main characters, Jinto, home planet. When it becomes clear to the defenders that fighting back would result in the destruction of their planet, they decide to surrender without firing a single shot.
