Description: Gene Starwind and his partner Jim Hawking run a small business on the backwater planet of Centinel 3. But all that changes the day that Hilda hires them for a bodyguard job. Now, thrust into a mystery they don't fully understand, they're on the run from the cops, the pirates, an angry alien, and a mysterious assassin. But they've got one thing going in their favor- they have the galaxy's most advanced ship! As seen on Cartoon Network's Toonami! This title from Sunrise, the people behind Cowboy Bebop and Gundam. Genre: Anime Sci-Fi/Action.

Okay, I held off buying this for years cause I was afraid it would be too much like Cowboy Bebop. SO, I eventually bought it in this complete box set. I stuck DVD one in, starting watching the first episode, and I was noticing some very quick similarities and began knee-jerking... I actually started to look for the similarities instead of enjoying the anime. The first episode is where almost all the similarities end, so this anime is truly its own creation and I suggest to leave it at that, cause ... Read More

A great series you probably will have trouble finding this in any store I know the last time I did see the series was in a best buy 4-5 years ago. Had to buy it once I found it on here.

The start of this anime was good.
The main character, Jean Star wind has no charisma and he is boring to watch when he's the leader.
And whenever a cool character comes in they decide to kill them off.
When Hilda died the whole show turned sour for me and it just all went down the drain.
When the pirate dude died it was sort of a let down.
Sure when they died they made it a emotional moment, but in reality it kind of is stupid...
This show could have been much ... Read More

I remember first watching this on cartoon network and I thought it was amazing. However; after watching it two more times after purchasing it, I was far less impressed. I have to say that the shows story is compelling, but the way that it is carried out leaves much to be desired. Also, there is not a time in this show where I didnt feel like I was watching a generic version of Cowboy Bebop with aspects of Tenchi Muyo thrown in. I would recommend this to anyone just getting started with anime; or anyone looking ... Read More

We're talking about magic, gun fighting, space pirates, and a story of different people coming together to overcome flaws in themselves and grow as people.
i picked this dvd up a month or so ago, and im on my 3rd time thru it now, the animation is showing its age alittle, but is still done soo well that you might not ever think about it. ... Read More
