Product Description: Studio: Warner Home Video Release Date: 01/10/2006 Rating: Nr
Amazon.com: Men Behaving Badly broadened its emotional range in its third season--which, admittedly, wasn't difficult, given that the first two seasons had all the emotional depth of a bath towel. Overall, the set-up remains the same: Security company manager Gary (Martin Clunes, as amphibious-looking as ever) and his girlfriend Dorothy (Caroline Quentin) wrestle with their torpid relationship while Gary's dim roommate Tony (Neil Morrissey) pants fruitlessly after their blonde upstairs neighbor Deborah (Leslie Ash). But over the course of six episodes, the characters' lives change in small ways (Deborah loses one job, considers selling her flat, then gets a new job; Dorothy wants to break up with Gary, prompting a weekend trip to rejuvenate their relationship) that allow for a gradual richer grasp of who these characters are. The stories remain ridiculous--one episode verges on farce when Gary lusts after his comely Portuguese housecleaner and Tony uses her to make Deborah jealous--but series creator Simon Nye keeps everything honest enough that the humor isn't just silly, but silly and uncomfortably real. Morrissey makes Tony considerably more sympathetic in this season, while Clunes simultaneously increases Gary's boorishness and makes him more genuine--quite a feat. Season 3 is unlikely to make new converts, but fans will enjoy returning to the lives of these woeful clods and their hapless female friends. --Bret Fetzer

The cast are back together again and you can see that they are comfortable acting together. The series is starting to get a little more outrageous especially when Tony and Deborah begin their excerising together. Gary's relationship with Dorothy continues to grow even though Gary can't help himself with his new cleaner.

The TV show that defined a decade in the UK. Vastly superior to the poor US remake. Some quality episodes here as the series finally gets going after the poorer episodes from series 1 and 2
