The only thing cute about this clock is Spongebob. The light works some of the time, but you have to press on the whole clock. The time speeds up so that at one point it was about 30 minutes ahead of the actual time. The alarm shuts itself off after a while. With my son, he never seems to hear the alarm going off and before you know it, it shuts itself off. I think if the alarm kept going off until someone shut it off that it would actually wake him up. I bought this for my daughter for Christmas and took it back because we couldn't see the numbers clearly, even when pressed down. No matter how cheap it is, it's not worth it!

No where on here does it say that it is battery operated only. The only way you can see the numbers at night is if you press on the whole clock. My son only likes it because it is Sponbebob.

The LCD display was barely readable from the beginning. It was completely unreadable in 6 months.

I wouldn't recommend this alarm clock. It only has one buzzer and it's very annoying. It is easy to use, but my son hates it after less than a year because it's such a nasty way to wake up. Get an alarm clock with a radio or buzzer option for the same $.
