This is one of the best series ever to be brought on television. As an ex-showjumper/eventer, I love watching this series as it brings back so many memories for me when I was that age; campouts, trail rides, hanging out with other horseloving girls. My dauther loves horses and loves this DVD set. Perhaps some of the situations can be a little 'old' for younger children that are 7 and under. My daughter is nine and loves them a great deal. We usually just catch them on TV. However, it is nice to have them on hand now.

if you like the saddle club then you will love the saddle club collection. it contains two movies. the reason i gave it four stars instead of five is that i was just a bit disappointed and misled. the picture on the cover is the saddle club girls when they are much older than when the show first started. although it's a nice picture its misleading. it's a collection of (older) episodes combined as a movie, which means that it's not really a "movie" but if you are like me and can watch the saddle club ... I absolutely love "The Saddle Club", so I was glad they combined the entire series onto video and DVD!! This movie is great because you don't have to wait for the episodes each Sunday. Or if you don't have satellite, you can watch the episodes.

Nothing new in this collection, they recut eight of the series episodes into two feature length movies, "Horse Crazy" and "The Mane Event". The first featuring the Skye Ranson episode and the second incorporating the episodes dealing with the Max/Deborah romance.
For those who have not read The 'Saddle Club' books from which the series was adopted, it is like a modern version of Walt Disney's 1955-58 'Spin and Marty'. It is set in Australia and 'Pine Hollow' replaces the 'Triple R Ranch'. ... Read More
