I recently viewed this romantic comedy some years ago and just recently purchased it online to view again with my husband. He normally is not a big fan of romantic comedies, but enjoyed this one more than most. The beginning of the story line starts off a little slow and at first seems to be going nowhere. I have to say that at the beginning of this movie, I thought it was a wawste of money. However, I quickly changed my mind as I was seeing Anthony Michael Hall really sink into the "leading man" role. Hoaving grown up on his 80's films, he has not only grown up physically, but he has a huge range when it comes to acting and I really hope he does more movies, especially as a leading man. Funny Valentine is an adorable love story with the back drop of hilarious sidekicks. Josh ( Anthony Michael Hall to all of you who grew up in the 80s ) isn't exactly the best in the girl department. I loved this movie. It is so cute. First off, anyone that grew up in the 80s should love Anthony Michael Hall. He has grown up well, but still has that quirky personality that everyone loves. The movie is great as well because getting set up by friend is never good, but always interesting. I think it is a great movie to watch with your boyfriend or girlfriend.
