I hadn't seen the UglyDog in person, but ordered it anyway. The pink is not the same shade as the online photo. I really don't like the color of it- it's like an 80s magenta mix, with a little purple and burgundy. I wish I would have bought a different one, but it's still cute.

My daughter is 1 1/2. I have no explanation for the love that she has for this thing. It is all about the binky and her pink Ugli. She calls out his name if she can't find him ......."UUUUUUUUgggi". Frankly, I don't get it, but there it is. My 11-year old daughter LOVES her pink, Uglydog (named "Spike"). She sleeps with it, is mindful of it when "including" her favorites on activities, sleepovers, etc. I admit, the Uglydog is very durable and well-made. Like so many other simple things, it has captured the attention of my kid and her friends, and is the new phenom in the pre-teen crowd.
