There seems to be some confusion around which is the stock X-23 and which is the variant. And unless Toy Biz is now stocking the varaints 3 to every one standard figure, the Black one is the variant. In several stores I've seen 3 or 4 in the Purple outfit, and only 1, if any, in the black. Some of this confusion proably stems from the card back. She's not a great character to begin with but the head doesn't sit well on the neck. Nice touch having the blades on her feet. None of the figures in this line have holes in their feet for posing. Still, the Apocalypse figure is great and so all the figures are a must.

X 23 is basically goth chick Wolverine lite. As far as I an tell she is a clone of Wolvie made from some damaged DNA of his. Not a perfect copy since she's a girl and only has 2 claws on her hands. She has one in each foot though, so don't get in a kick boxing contest with her.
The action figure itself is pretty decent but nothing stellar. She is thin and small, but is a teenage girl so that fits. Her articulation is decent but I do fear snapping her joints since they are so small. ... Read More

The X-23 figure availible on Amazon.com is dressed in purple but there also is a black one - a variant that is alot harder to find [I resorted to eBay for mine]. The build of the figure is great - There's so much articulation, it's insane; and her feet claws actually tuck under her shoes so they can be concealed which is beyond cool. X-23 is a pretty nice figure. Those die-hard X-Men fans out there are going to be the ones who really know the story behind her. She is a younger, female clone of Wolverine with some different touches. Most notably is that she has only two adamantium claws coming out from each hand and a claw that comes out of each foot--the latter feature is nicely done by ToyBiz.
