I purchased this for my son along with the keyboard and mouse. I was please with the mouse and keyboard but the mousepad lasted 3-4 days before one of the edges became unglued. It does look grade (only reason I gave it two stars).
For the price you are paying you should get a little higher quality.

This mousepad is awesome for fans. I love it, and even make sure that it doesn't get dirty. I practically worship the thing since it has a Superman logo on it. I have an optical mouse as well and it does work with mine, so those who have an optical mouse, it should work with you.

I read the review written by the person with the optical mouse so I contacted the seller to see if I could return the mousepad for a refund if I have the same problem and they said I could. Just for kicks and giggles when I received it, I used the mouseoad with the plastic wrap still on it with MY optical mouse and it worked almost perfect. When I took the plastic wrap off, it worked as good or better than the one I had previuosly and it looks so cool. Obviously someone does not know how to adjust ... Read More

This mousepad is horrible! An Optical (or laser) mouse will not work on the blue portion of the mousepad, meaning that it is almost useless! I have it setting on my desk as a decoration now.
