I am an avid Warcraft fan, I play Warcraft III and World of Warcraft. I also read the books, and all the fan fiction I can find. This was the logical next step for me. If you have 2-5 friends that you want to spend the day playing a really fun and deep game with some fairly omplicated game mechanics involved then this is for you.

Fans of old classics like Talisman should enjoy this game. You don't have to play the online game to understand the basics of the game, though the names for talents/items/etc come straight from the online portion. A four person game takes about 6 hours to play unless you all know the rules. My group found the game to be a good replacement for a nightly RPG session when you are missing people or don't have enough time to prepare a decent RPG.

World of Warcraft boardgame seems at first to be ultra-expensive. But for what you get, and the outstanding quality of the pieces and components, it is a fair price. It's a great game. Takes about 4 - 6 hours for 2 - 6 players to complete. Great companion to the on line game.

The WOW board game is a well put together game overall, and relatively fun to play... at first.
I'm not going to rehash the points made by the other reviewers, as they are valid, but the overall experience is what leads me with a middle of the road review.
The game is great from the standpoint that you incorporate RPG elements in "building" your character... the quests and items all lend a distinct flavor to the game, but the mechanics of the game are what drag down the rating. ... Read More

Just play the computer game. This game is long, contains hundreds of little cardboard bits (but not enough of certain ones), and has way too many rules. If you like games with those values, it is a good game. I didn't find it particularly enjoyable. The rules are VERY well crafted, there were no "rule says this, no it doesn't" fights.
