Description: 2-Disc Collector’s Edition Contains All 6 Season Two Episodes!
It’s been two months since Tru and Jack last met in a deadly confrontation in which Tru saved the life of her brother, but she was ultimately thwarted when Jack evened the score by taking the life of her boyfriend. After that night, Jack disappeared—but now he’s back with a vengeance. His renewed efforts to make sure the dead stay dead only make Tru more determined to carry on her murdered mother’s legacy of saving those who die before their time. But also back in town is Tru’s estranged father who, although claiming he wants to forge new relationships with his son and daughter, has his own secret agenda which is anything but fatherly in intent.

The actresses and actors were capable, the premise had possibilities, but it was so blandly written, that there was nothing to grab onto. No complexity, no evolving mythos, nada. The last few stories of the first season, and a couple of second season stories showed promise, but the rest were not worthwhile. A series that was sabotaged by an underdeveloped premise, and uninspired writing.

I hate that this show ended. I was not happy with the last show it was a cliff hanger. One that will never be finished.

Then everyone was even more baffled when production on the show was ended before a single episode of Season Two was broadcast. FOX has done some very strange and inexplicable things over the years, but the whole now-it's-renewed/now-it's-cancelled dance with TRU CALLING has to rank at the top.
In my review of Season One I mentioned that it simply wasn't the ... Read More

Tru, who recently graduated from college, is the main character and works in a morgue. When a newly deceased asks Tru for help, Tru is taken back to the previous day, remembers what happened and is able to intervene in whatever caused the person's death. Tru's family issues become more and more important as the series goes on.
Entire family loved this series when it was on tv. Gave both seasons as a Christmas gift to my 17 year old daughter. It was her favorite gift. She and her friends spent ... Read More
