Others have complained about the short cord, even though a safety feature, but more to the point is that few kids even see a phone with a cord these days. My son was 2 when he got it and is now 3 and rarely picks it up except for a moment or so. He'll push a few buttons, play some sounds and then move on. The phone is an awesome toy for my 10 month old daughter. the only problem i have is the string is to short on the phone so she cant sit and talk she has to bend over and so she doesnt use that part anymore.

This phone is good overall. The only complaint is that the cord is too short on the phone receiver. But that might be a safety issue. Also, I wish the receiver played the sounds of the phone so kids could pretend it was an actual call. Instead the whole unit talks.

My 19 month old received this for Christmas...both she and her 3 year old brother have been playing with it in brief spurts. It wasn't a "big hit" at first, but they are growing to like it (not love it). The phone cord is short but that's a good thing...a longer cord would be a hazard because the little one could get it wrapped around his/her neck. The short cord is NOT a design "flaw", as the other reviewer stated, but it is definitely a safety feature.

1) The string on the phone is too short and she gets frustrated with that(although i see the safety value in that, so I can live with it).
2) the On/off button is part of the keypad, so if she accidentally turns it off, she is pressing other buttons and nothing happens and then she gets bored ... Read More
