I grew up watching the Red Skelton variety show and while I remembered the characters such as Clem Kadiddlehopper and Freddie the Freeloader, I had forgotten the effectiveness of the smooth choreography and facial expressions of Skelton. His pantomimes of events are comedy classics and demonstrate that one can be extremely funny without saying a word.
