Like many people when I saw that Spider-man was getting the Legends treatment, I inwardly groaned. With the Spiderman Classics line doing so well, and the articulation greatly increasing, I thought we'd be getting something like we already had several of. Now I do not own any other Spider-man figures so this is nice to have in my collection and first appearance Spider-man is a good idea but this was not as cool a figue as it may have been. It is worth getting though so you can complete the 16" Sentinel figue which is and awesome 5 star figure.
As another reviewer mentioned, the soft plactic lends itself to the figure getting distorted. As a matter of fact the left leg of mine is permanantly warped so that it always bends out, making it ... Read More

This is part of a a series to build a Sentital. The picture they show does not give this Spider Man justice. Very cool detail and very posable. Not to mention it has the webbing net under his arms. The colors are deep and dark and it just looks like a great Spider Man. It also includes the head piece of the Sentital. I have collected all seven it is well worth it to have the collection.

The over all sculpt of this figure is very pleasing but the main problem is the web pits. Any SPidey fan knows early Spidey was all about the web pits and this figure falls flat in translating the concept. When I bought this figure I showed it to a friend who laughed and said what's up with the old lady's shawl? Which is exactly what it looks like. This Spider-Man is based off his first appearance in Amazing Fantasy #15. The sculpt captures the look of Spider-Man, but overall the figure leaves a bit to be desired. First of all, it is made with very soft plastic, so the legs have a tendancy to warp into strange shapes. Also, due to the soft plastic, you ahve to be very careful moving the joints.
