This is a quality RG-59 cable, which is fine for connecting a VCR to your television, but Amazon lists it as a companion for HDTV antennas. The thicker RG-6 cable is recommended for digital signals. This is what satellite and cable installers use. Don't spend the time and money installing a new HDTV antenna for the digital changeover and then try to save a few bucks buying RG-59 cable. The potential for occasional digital dropouts isn't worth the risk.
