I Love Lucy has been charming television viewers since 1951 with 172 hilarious episodes. This nostalgic doll brings back the days of everyone's favorite redhead on television.
Lucille Ball's all-time favorite "I Love Lucy" episode - "The Operetta" - has wacky Lucy Ricardo borrowing money from her woman's club treasury. Then the group needs the money to stage an operetta! To save the $100 royalty fee, Lucy writes her own musical about Lily of the Valley (Ethel) and Prince Lancelot (Ricky) whose love is thwarted by the gypsy queen, Camille (Lucy). Lucy rents costumes and scenery using a postdated check, assuming the money to cover the expenses will be available in the club account after the show! Naturally, the production is interrupted by moving men repossessing the sets and costumes and Lucy is carried off stage, singing and slapping her tambourine. Doll measures approximately 13.47" tall.

I can't imagine why people who don't have this doll feel they can do a decent review from a tiny picture. the outfit is well made, the jewelery is detailed and frankly the whole doll in real life looks much better than in the image used here. I also don't understand why some people who left reviews can't understand that I love Lucy was a Comedy show and that the characters and dolls are supposed to be amusing .

I was so disappointed to see the newest edition to the I Love Lucy Collection. I am a huge fan of every other doll but the fascination stopped there! Her cheesy black teeth, ugly colored, cheaply made clothing were not up to the standard of the other dolls. Waiting around for the next one....

mediocre packing before shipped. Collectible item's condition must be "new in box". This item is now worth nothing to a real

This is the 9th doll in the I Love Lucy series by Matel. Just one look at her and the episode starts to play in your head. I've always loved Lucy and collecting the dolls from the I Love Lucy show has been a lot of fun. I wait anxiously every year for the new addition just like a little kid :o)The doll looks just like Lucille Ball's character Lucy Ricardo, I just love these dolls and I'm sure all Lucy fans will love them just as much.
