Product Description: Three married couples are all best friends until divorce strikes one couple, putting a strain on the close-knit group. Genre: Feature Film-Comedy Rating: PG Release Date: 31-MAY-2005 Media Type: DVD
Amazon.com: Actually, this comedy is one of the more enjoyable films to examine midlife crisis in the 1980s. Written and directed by Alan Alda, it examines the effects of middle age on a group of married couples who are longtime friends. Each season they go away on a vacation together, but the dynamic gets skewed when one of the men dumps his wife for a younger woman. Though some may find the characters' self-satisfaction and upscale neuroses a shade cloying, they are more than matched by Alda's solid, often funny writing. The couple with the biggest laughs: the hilariously paired Jack Weston and Rita Moreno (although Alda and Carol Burnett also strike comic sparks). --Marshall Fine

The DVD I ordered, "The Four Seasons", which I consider a real classic and hard to find, arrived just a couple days after I ordered it. Brand new, box undamaged and the DVD quality was supurb. What else can I say, Amazon.com is the place to shop!

This movie combinnes good acting and a hilarious story with a view into how a couple grows and how people learn to deal with the problems life throws at us all.

This movie is as funny now as it was back in the 80's. I have the VHS copy and now I want the DVD. As many times as it has been on TV, I watch it every time. I never tire of it. And being a product of a divorce myself, I can relate to all the complications that follow. It's a great narative of human nature and the affects it has on friendships in sticky situations.

Ha, so I think you should be able to draw from my review title that I can easily compare this film to `Tyler Perry's: Why Did I Get Married?' and honestly, I feel very similar about the two films. If you've read my review for the other one (it stirred much heated debate and actually garnered me some hate mail) you'd know that I was not a huge fan. While I admitted to liking the film I also stated that I felt it had a lot of issues (not the least of which was Janet Jackson). I feel the same here. ... Read More

Jack and Kate, Nick and Ann, Danny and Claudia are three couples who, in their words, had shielded themselves from the "Winds of Divorce" through their friendship with each other. They spend countless weekends and vacations with each other and for years they have a perfect relationship........or so they think. During a spring time weekend trip to celebrate Nick and Ann's 21st wedding anniversary, Nick and Jack are gathering firewood when Nick makes a surprising confession........he's leaving Ann! ...
