When I found out that the Anchor Bay release of Sleepaway Camp was edited I was very disappointed. I'm just glad that I was able to get the unedited version. The picture quality isn't as good as the anchor bay release,but it is very watchable just a few glitches here and there,but for $5 who cares. 4 1/2 Stars.

As others have pointed out, this Legacy Entertainment (VHS-copy-quality) pan & scan edition is otherwise uncut (if not widescreen), unlike the Starz/Anchor Bay (clean & sharp) widescreen edition of which most customers purchase.
This is classic low-budget horror with the most memorable ending of any such film in it's genre, whether you care for it or not. Instead of elaborating on my opinion of the film, I thought some would be interested in knowing what makes this edition 'uncut.' ... Read More

The dvd is the full uncut version from Legacy,It's a great 80's camp/slasher movie with a shocking ending,and the dvd that i got has a high dvd-quality picture and sound.I can't believe that i got it for only five dollars.I going to buy part 2 and 3.

ok, first off a response to the guy who gave this movie one start because it was absent of art. I agree, but thats what makes this movie interesting, the poor acting and badly assembled scenes (in my opinion) make this movie just that much more interesting. I'm a fan of cheesy films, and this one takes the cake.
