In the early 1900's, a tin can full of solid gold was lost near the small little mining town of Mokelumne Hill. The legend was told to a doctor by his dying patient. The doctor traveled to Mokelumne Hill and stayed at the Hotel Leger before trying to find the treasure. The doctor spent weeks looking for the tin can but came back empty handed (which is why this remains a lost legend). In this episode, Joanna Skye travels back to modern day Mokelumne Hill only to find that it is not so "modern day". While staying at the Hotel Leger, Joanna begins to suspect that gold might not be the only thing hiding in the shadows of this old hotel. Joanna's quest for the tin can takes her hiking, rock climbing, rafting and she ends up talking to some very, very interesting people to try and find the missing link.
