One of animation history's most unique creations, Donald Duck, is featured in eight Disney cartoons collected in WALT DISNEY'S CLASSIC CARTOON FAVORITES STARRING DONALD. The earliest short in the collection is 1937's "Don Donald," the first solo Donald Duck cartoon which also features the first appearance of Donald's female counterpart, Donna, who was later--and better--known as Daisy. The remainder of the cartoons catalogue Donald's career up until 1950, when the Disney studio was turning its concentration away from shorts and towards feature films. Two cartoons in a series where Donald battled Buzz-Buzz the bee are featured: "Inferior Decorator" and the surprisingly cruel "Bee at the Beach." Donald Duck was voiced by the incomparable Clarence Nash, and the rendition of "Old MacDonald" in the short "Old MacDonald Duck" is one the vocal highlights of all of Disney's endeavors. The other Donald cartoons collected here are "Golden Eggs," "Donald's Dog Laundry" with Pluto, "Donald's Vacation," and "Chef Donald."

These cartoons are great! I read all these reviews complaining that these cartoons are available on the "Treasures", but the truth is these are good DVDs that serve a different function. I own all the "Treasures" DVDs because I am a animation fan and I believe all "hard core" fans know they need to get the "Treasures", but I also own all of the "Classic Cartoon Favorites" DVDs. I purchased this item, because I grew up watching Disney Classic cartoons. Better than what is out there now! Therefore, I am looking forward to sharing this Disney cartoon with my grandson.

....please Disney, get rid of fast-play! It is soooo stupid. It always says, "This Disney DVD is enhanced with Disney Fast-play. The movie and a selection of bounes will bagin automaticly. To bypass fast-play, press the main menu button at any time! fast-pl;ay will begin in a moment.." I always go to the main menu.
